Web Design & Development
Problems Solved:
This was a strategic marketing project for Skylar to showcase the distinct redesigns we've completed for some of our clients. Over the years, we've shown before and after pieces, but we wanted something where all the redesigns could be centralized in one location. Now, we have such a site and the ability to add future projects.

Cemetery Association
Problems Solved:
Mount Pleasant already had a website. However, the design did little to invite people into the site. In addition, the services weren't clearly laid out. After researching and studying existing cemetery websites, Skylar created a distinct website unlike most other cemetery website. Instead of establishing a tone of gloom, melancholy, or sadness, Skylar selected images and chose colors that invoked themes of life, dignity, respect, and care.

Atlantic Holdings purchased and took over the management of the Five Points Shopping Center in Kennebunk, ME. Wanting to increase the awareness to potential leasers who may want to rent space from the mall, Atlantic selected Skylar to design a professional website to help with this initiative. Atlantic's overall objectives were to develop an online presence; create brand awareness; improve search engine results; support existing shoppers and attract new shoppers; and establish Atlantic Holdings as the new property managers.

Problems Solved:
Silverlink came to Skylar with one specific need: program the entire website. Having their new comps already designed and approved, Silverlink needed a company who could take their designs and convert them into valid XHTML and CSS. Another main concern was their visibility within Google's database. As part of the redesign process, Skylar built into the development process that each page was optimized and could easily be indexed by search engine spiders.

Problems Solved:
Fardig and Son's expressed that their existing website brought them zero business. After reviewing their existing site, Skylar took on the task of redesigning the entire site, giving them a much cleaner look. As part of that improvement, Skylar also designed a logo that reflected the family's Scandinavian history (80+ years) of being in business. The site was also developed in such a way that it had the flexibility to grow. Thus, in the future, when Fardig and Sons want to add more sections to the website, the site is capable of handling such needs. This saves them the cost of having to start over with another redesign or re-code the site.

Leading Optical Lense Manufacturer
Problems Solved:
Tamron approached Skylar with the need to redesign their website. Having three main corporate divisions, Tamron was beginning to transition into two core divisions; and the new site had to clearly communicate this strategic shift. The homepage was carefully designed to communicate and direct visitors to these new sections. Being the global leader in camera lens technology, the new site had to be more visual than the previous one, and it had to showcase the value of using their camera lens. So we intentionally designed the site with the purpose of showcasing a distinct image on every page, an image that was taken with Tamron's lenses. In keeping with this approach, we also created an exclusive database-driven gallery which highlights the work of professional photographers who use Tamron lenses.

Property Maintenance
Problems Solved:
Having already created their first website in 2001, Looks Great Services (LGS) returned to Skylar with the need to redesign their website. Due to exponential growth within the company, the existing site limited their ability to communicate the vast amount of services they now offered. In addition, LGS needed a gallery that could handle thousands of images. Skylar was tasked with not only redesigning the website but also had to create a gallery that could manage many images, plus deliver the images to the browser in a short amount of time. Thus, we provided the client with a database that could handle such server demands.

Education
Problems Solved:
At the time Kinney & Associates contacted Skylar, they had recently redesigned their logo, which, unfortunately, did not fit well with their existing design. Kinney commissioned Skylar to take the new logo and design a brand new layout. Since Kinney & Associates were targeting educators, superintendents, and administrators nationwide, Skylar carefully selected images with an educational tone.
